Follow your dreams and manufacture the greatest board games of all time!

In The Game Makers, players are board game manufacturers racing to build the greatest collection of classic modern board games. Build over 300 real-world games from over 100 real-world publishers. You can build Wingspan, Brass: Birmingham, On Mars, Terraforming Mars, Ark Nova, Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition, and many more!

Forklifts zoom across the central warehouse rondel as players simultaneously choose which game components to manufacture in a given turn and how to use them. The Game Makers features not only multi-use cards but also other multi-use components.

Will you stockpile the necessary plastic, workers, dice, punchboard, and cards to manufacture one of the greatest games of all time?!

Or will you...

  • add plastic components to your factory to unlock special abilities?
  • gain workers to use your special abilities?
  • roll your dice to increase your marketing for endgame scoring?
  • use cards to fulfill other orders?
  • use punchboard to expand your assembly line, giving you further discounts on manufacturing games?

The Kickstarter edition feels like a collector’s piece with that extra layer of care, and the core loop of pitching your dream games to rival publishers is surprisingly tense. Setup took a bit longer than I’d like, but once we got going, the decisions kept everyone engaged right to the final scoring

I’ve already played three rounds with my group and the theme really pulls you in—you’re literally building a board game company from scratch, which feels way more strategic than I expected. The components in the gamer pledge are solid, and the rulebook is clear enough that we were rolling within ten

Benjamin ★★★★★

The Kickstarter edition arrived with all the components I was hoping for, and the theme of manufacturing board games really shines through in every decision you make. I’ve already played it twice with my group, and the way you compete to build the best game keeps everyone engaged until the very last
