Ultimate Werewolf je interaktivní dedukční hra pro dva týmy: Vesničany a Vlkodlaky. Vesničané nevědí, kdo jsou Vlkodlaci, a Vlkodlaci se snaží zůstat neodhaleni, zatímco postupně eliminují Vesničany jednoho po druhém. Moderátor (který není v týmu) řídí hru.

Každá hra probíhá v sérii herních dní a nocí. Každý den hráči diskutují o tom, kdo z nich je Vlkodlak, a hlasováním vyloučí hráče. Každou noc si Vlkodlaci vyberou hráče k eliminaci, zatímco Věštec zjistí, zda je jeden hráč Vlkodlakem nebo ne. Hra končí, když jsou eliminováni všichni Vesničané nebo všichni Vlkodlaci.

The moderator cards and role descriptions are clear enough that I had five people who'd never played before following along by round two. Our group of ten got louder and more paranoid with every vote, and the villagers actually pulled off a win against two sneaky werewolves.

The role cards are thick enough to survive aggressive shuffling, which matters since we've played this nearly every weekend since it arrived. It's the closest I've found to recreating that old-school party vibe where everyone's accusing each other by the third round.
